I am SUCH a tardy blogger! Was reuniting with my husband, and during the move my stuff was intransit and unplugged! I'll catch up quickly. Last month, Julie and I trekked back to Carson and collected more treasures. Then, the fabulous but rainy WHIMSICAL WISHES SHOW! Here are some pics of my booth!
Glen is helping me here with one of our "famous" deconstucted pieces. This is a loveseat, before and after. Also, Glen and I camped the first weekend in May at Swift Creek Reservoir. It was beautiful with the exception of a squall Saturday night, and as you can see, the roads within a mile of camp were either snowbound or covered in debris. This is a new friend, Sandy, from the next camp.
Glen and I have been married for almost 9 years now and whatever either of us dreams up, Glen can make it happen! Previously, we opened "1817 Main Street Vintage" in November, 2011 and it was the culmination of many dreams and talents. We have now passed it on to two of our former dealers so we can focus on creating original lighting and curating our booths at OLD GLORY ANTIQUES at 20th and Main in Vancouver, WA.
Having read decorating magazines since the age of 8, I (Marci) have a true passion for design. My addiction to textiles, lamps and furniture compelled me to be quite the gypsy for many years, moving from home to home so I could redecorate!
When Glen and I fell in love and married, we became a true creative partnership. Now all of my crazy design ideas become reality as Glen can fabricate anything, from farm tables with his wood lathe, to industrial lights, many of which already grace local rehabbed homes and bars and restaurants. Please visit us at OLD GLORY.
